I graduated from Slippery Rock University of Pennsylvania in May of 2000. I received a B.S. of Education in Elementary Education K-6 and an Elementary Spanish Minor. In 2010, I became certified in Middle Level Science (7th-9th). I have also completed some graduate courses through Performance Learning Systems, which is accredited through Gannon University.
For the first 19 years of my career I had had many hats at St. Sebastian Regional Catholic School (2004-2023). In my time there, I taught: K-8 Computers/Robotics, Middle School Social Studies, 4-8 Science, 4-8 Health, 4-8 STREAM (STEM), and K-8 Spanish. I also served as the head teacher, as well as, the Assistant to the Administrator and had many administrative duties, including: Technology Coordinator, Testing Coordinator, Curriculum Writer, and much more. Some clubs and activities that I had sponsored include: Pennsylvania Junior Academy of Science, PA Trout in the Classroom, Lego Robotics Club, Chess Club, Checkers Club, Indoor Sports Club.
In recent years, I have helped out with the robotics competition through First Lego League at Mary Queen of Apostles.
Beginning in the 2023-2024 school year, I have taken on a new position at Mary Queen of Apostles School as a fifth grade homeroom teacher. I will be teaching 4th & 5th grade science, 4th-6th grade STEM, 4th-8th grade technology and 6th grade spelling/vocabulary. I will be sponsoring PJAS this year, too!
